KarateDatu: {Discontinued} SMKKD10 / SMK Seksyen 10 Kota Damansara

Merger

Due to curcumstances below, SMKKD10 dojo will be merging with KarateTTDI effective of August 2026. SMKKD10 dojo members will now be attending KarateTTDI sessions and with membership under the name of KarateTTDI. Last night (1 Aug 2026, Sat) was our last session at De Rozelle Condo, KD itself.

Circumstances:

We no longer have student of SMK Seksyen 10 Kota Damansara as our Club members. Hence it wouldn't be appropriate for us to continue using the name of the school as our club.
The current venue, Dewan Badminton, De Rozelle Condo, is currently being booked by a resident of the condo who iw no longer associated to the club, parent of a former senior member who has long stopped training with us.

I have decided to take the opportunity to merge the two clubs/dojo but under the system/accounts of KarateTTDI for the following benefits:

Easier management for myself, as opposed to handling two different dojo under two different systems, and accounts.
Multiple instructors per class.
No need for class cancellations on tournament days; we currently have 4 instructors under KarateTTDI.

Dōjō History

The dojo started off first at Sekolah Sukan Selangor Seksyen 11, Shah Alam in February of 2014. The Assistant Principal of the school, Chikgu Ghaffar, together with a number of karate family help to bring me in to establish the Karate Club in the school.

Due to some obstacles of conducting classes at night, the club together with its external members relocated to SMK Seksyen 10 Kota Damansara in March of 2015, where Cikgu Ghaffar is not the school Principal. Training was conducted weekly (with exceptions few cancellations and break for fasting and Raya month) for over a decade upto last night.
